Karboz is a plain-woven cotton fabric, usually un-dyed or lightly tinted ( tea washed ) used historically in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Northern Afghanistan for both functional and decorative purposes. It is a more textured, coarser cloth than Adras, but also hand-woven in home industries, and used as the base textile for Suzanis, for lining fabrics for robes (chapan) or household items, and also used as wrapping cloths or curtains.
